Charles "Wag-A-Bag" Wagner shares fascinating insight and experiences growing up in Dayton, Ohio during the re-birth of funk in the 1970's. Charles is one of many children positively impacted by the mentoring and involvement by the Troutman family at Shawen Acres and in the local community. During this time he became childhood friends with Terry “Zapp” Troutman and their friendship continues to this day. Charles’ professional career in the music industry began when Zapp and the late Roger Troutman hired him to be their personal assistant. After this, he went on as Stage Manager for Shirley Murdock and Drum Technician for Lester Troutman. Charles has since retired from the music business but is happily married and proud father currently residing in Columbus, OH.
