The Metropolitan Opera teamed up with the Intrepid Museum for a behind-the-scenes program about Jeanine Tesori’s new opera Grounded. The event featured a panel discussion with decorated female officers, Tesori, and mezzo-soprano Emily D’Angelo reflecting on how work affects their domestic life, the roles of service to one’s country and one’s home, and the challenges of volleying identities between service and domestic life. 2024–25 season.
