It was 1996 when I closed the distance on a massive inland grizzly that would launch my outdoor career. The arrow hit the bear between the eyes and dropped it in its tracks. The arrow passed through the brain and stopped dead center in its third spinal column. When I returned to camp and showed my father the footage he laughed, slapped me on the back then said "that shot will be heard around the world". And so it was.
