Everyone who does this challenge always complain saying ''ew it sucks, I hate it - wish I could do more'' but when I do it, I'm so fuckin egotistical I'm loving this edit LOL
it was easier when I had a vision in my head when I went to bed and I woke up knowing exactly what to do - I spent actual 16minutes on the freaking typography and colouring and then realized I only had 4minutes left for clips so I just slapped on my fave cutscenes from DmC and stuck em in there, probs with not much relevance to the song whatsoever.
I do freaking love this band and even more proud that they are from New Zealand band to!
Had been listening to them on repeat for the past week so figured why not do this #20minutechallenge with this song that has been stuck in my head since forever.

I wanted to try a different approach to this type of song, usually I go all ham with the filmscratch and dark colourings etc but for this song its softer and I wanted to tackle a smoke/ink aesthetic. I have done a lot of ink aesthetic vids in the past so its not entirely outside my box of thinking.
Too bad my chance at being completely original has not yet come to pass! LOL

So my second ever YPIV is a full success! Completed in less than a week! What can I say? I was so inspired to edit.
Id like to thank everyone who participated in giving me a footage and a part - so Id like to tribute each persons request respectfully.
I had alot of fun editing this, it was on my mind for ages, I mean even when I was at work all I wanted to do was edit this video xD
I realize my Vegas would not be able to handle a large project such as this so I edited this like I would a MEP, edited each part individually and then spliced and diced them onto the full projects timeline so it was like my own MEP that I edited with colorings and overlays added afterwards!
I contemplated adding lyrics but I had edited it without the use of lyrics that adding lyrics now would seem.. idk obsolete.
