There are more than 18,000 black bears residing in Virginia. Our mountain homestead is located on the edge of a plateau and a well worn path for wildlife runs along the top of the drop off.

This is the 3rd time our Maine Coon cat, Tramp has alerted me to bears in the yard. Cog still fusses at me for chasing bears with cameras lol. :-)
