Greg Norman Is RUMORED To Be Resigning From LIV..

Welcome back to Athlete District. The fate of Greg Norman In the last 48 hours, Greg Norman's name has been bouncing around all over the media. But not, as usual, because of some statement he made or some new frontal attack he suffered. This time the topic is his possible resignation. The Telegraph also proposes the name of his replacement, Mark King, former CEO of TaylorMade. King met Yasir Al-Rumayyan, governor of the Saudi Public Investment Fund that supports the circuit. During the season, he attended several LIV Golf events, and last September he said he believes the new Tour will find its place in the pro golf ecosystem within five years.

The PGA Tour is trying to gain supremacy over the golf scene with Norman and the rest of the squad trying to fight the competition, but they know they have a tough task ahead of them in order to accomplish this goal. In spite of this, the fact that they have huge amounts of money, given that the tournament is financed by Saudi Arabia, already gives them an advantage over their competitors. There was a rumor circulating a few days ago that Greg Norman would no longer be the CEO of LIV Golf, however, the rumor was quickly denied by that very company. "Greg Norman is our CEO and Commissioner. Any suggestion that changes are being made to Greg's title or role is patently false," LIV Golf managing director Majed Al-Sorour said in a statement to Sports Illustrated. In related news, LIV Golf’s Australian arrival “is official with confirmation of a tournament” to be held in Adelaide in April 2023, according to Jacob Polychronis of FOX SPORTS AUSTRALIA. Adelaide won the race to host LIV Golf’s Australian debut, “edging out Sydney and Brisbane, which were previously rumoured as the frontrunners.” Grange Golf Club will host the event on April 21-23 and is a “part of a four-year deal.” The tournament will be part of the core 14-event schedule in next year’s LIV Golf league. The prize money for the event will be about $25M (all figures US) with the winner taking home about $4M. LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman said that he hopes his home nation "can play a big role for LIV Golf as part of a multi-year commitment.”
