We're finally seeing deportations accelerate—but I don't believe removing only the so-called “worst of the worst” comes anywhere close to solving America's immigration crisis.
In today's show, I explain why I agree with Greg Bovino's criticism of the current approach and why illegal presence itself has to carry consequences. If the government's policy is effectively that an illegal immigrant can remain indefinitely unless he first commits a violent crime against an American, that's not mass deportation. That's accepting illegal immigration until somebody gets hurt.
I also look at the progress that is being made: ICE arrests involving expired visas, the collapse of the Madison autonomous zone, record deportations, and Stephen Miller making the case for putting American citizens and American culture first. Things are moving in the right direction. My argument is that we shouldn't respond by taking our foot off the gas—we should demand more.
