Greenstone-Caples Track | Remote Valley Tramping in Fiordland, NZ
The Greenstone–Caples Track is a 61 km loop through remote valleys, lush beech forests, alpine saddles, and riverside flats, all on the edge of Fiordland National Park. It’s a quieter option than nearby Great Walks, but just as spectacular. This track can be walked in either direction and links up with the Routeburn Track for those wanting a longer adventure.
This video takes you through the full loop, starting and ending at the Greenstone Road End. We show each section of the journey, including Mid Caples Hut, the ascent over McKellar Saddle, views around Lake McKellar, and the descent through the open Greenstone Valley.
