Very unique coloration on this 5th instar male Wide-Armed Mantis. No digital trickery here. He really is that vivid shade of green and that really is purple on his carapace. He was brick red/brown before this last molt, then slowly switched over to brown/green and now green/purple. Toward the end you can see the muscles in his face working the mandibles.
