Me voicing the Green Goblin.
This idea began when Nick said that he thought it sounded like I could pull off the laughter (which I'm a big fan of).
Green Goblin in the Spiderman movies has always been one of my favourite villains. The brilliant casting of Willem Dafoe (Villain Da Foe) is a huge reason why. Such a brilliant actor, it's too bad now that the movie series is being rebooted we most likely won't see Willem Dafoe return in his perfect role (nor J.K Simmons as J. Jonah Jamesson). The voice and overall creepiness Dafoe gave the character is amazing.
I was never a big fan of the original Green Goblin design in the comics and I'm probably in a minority who loved the design for the film. Also, the animated series Green Goblin had a really high Goblin-esque voice which I didn't like at all. It came off more as annoying than actually threatening. As I stated above, Dafoe's voice is perfect.
Anyway, I'm really proud of the mixing for this. I tried making it sound as authentic as I could with the sound levels and everything (since live action mixing is delicate). For some reason the movie had four audio tracks when I imported it into Vegas with different audio in them which really helped the mixing.
I know the clips are a bit out of order, this is purely a laziness problem because I didn't plan to do the "Out am I?" part from the beginning, I already synched the clip before that one and didn't feel like redoing it just because the clips should be in order. Actually from the very beginning I was just gonna do the laugh clip in the beginning but it was fun trying to match Dafoe's voice. =)
The first movie had the best villain easily. The second? Not enough Green Goblin. Third one with Harry as Goblin? Get that shit out of here.
Side note, the grenade at the end is so freakin' awesome. I loved it since the first time I saw it.
