Today in the hot shop we are using the encalmo technique to create a footed bowl. We create a tube of green class and attach a premade cup of twisted canes called a supio. Once the supio is attached we can create our piece. The encalmo technique is the bringing together of cups of glass, to display different colors or designs, separated by a fine line.
