On April 12, Grebel faculty, staff, students, and guests gathered for Grebel’s Convocation Service in the Humanities Theatre. It was followed by a reception at Grebel to celebrate the achievements of students who have connected with the College during their studies, either as an undergraduate student, graduate student, or a resident.
Isabel Song, this year’s undergraduate valedictorian, reflected on her experience at Grebel and how suspension of disbelief led to community and lifelong friendships. "This is the way we suspend our disbeliefs about each other. When we allow ourselves to have an open mind about the people living around us, believing that even - and actually, especially - those who see the world differently, have important things to teach us and can become valued neighbours and even cherished lifelong friends."
Congratulations to all our newest graduates. We can’t wait to see what you all do next! 🎉
