Just to give you a quick rundown of the book, I really enjoyed the parts that focused on the setting. In my opinion, this book would have been much better if it was just a setting book instead of including rules as well. If you're interested in Polish history, then I think it's worth picking up. However, I would recommend running it with a different system and just taking and reworking some of the setting-specific stuff. It's a shame because I do really like the historical aspects of the book, even though I know it's the type of game I couldn't DM and would struggle to be a player in. Overall, I feel Sword and Caravan is a far better book than Baptism of Fire, though it really depends on which time setting you prefer.

if you are going to pick up baptism of fire or sword and caravan i would unironically recommend running it with dice and demons since the leveling table is quite similar but is far more than simple +1s
