The Alhambra is a large complex of palaces and fortresses in the Spanish city Granada. It started out as a small fortress in 889, but had fallen to ruins. From the 11th to the 14th century, the Alhambra was renovated and turned into a palace by the Moors. The Muslim influences of the Moors are perhaps most evident in the intricate designs found throughout the Alhambra. There are many other fascinating facts to find out about the Alhambra, but in the end it's just a beautiful place that's very photogenic.
