Back in Stock (and they sell out fast!) TDLR: These are a delight!
Today, we are looking at the new Lightwish Handmade soft pastel sets:

Pros:
Nice color selection (I did not have to reach for additional colors while creating the demo paintings)
Secure packaging that is usable as long-term storage
Very soft and dense (the regular sticks were quite heavy for their size but still very soft)
Good value for money (about .60 a stick for the regular pastels and $1.38 per stick for the metallics)
Cons:
No pigment info (But I did get lightfast info and will post the chart on my community tab)
Bottom line: These were a dream to use. I'm not sure about lightfastness since their rating system is not an ASTM standard. Below is what the rep from Lightwish told me:
Hi Lindsay,
I was very happy to receive your letter. I have confirmed the information with our professionals.
Regarding the lightfastness rating of the pastel sticks, the corresponding lifespan is as follows
(based on an environment without protective coating and under daily outdoor diffused light; direct sunlight exposure will significantly shorten the lifespan):
One star (poor lightfastness): Significant fading and color shift will occur within 1-3 months outdoors, commonly found in organic red and purple pigments.
Two stars (medium lightfastness): Can last 6-21 months outdoors, with relatively gradual color degradation, suitable for short-term display or works stored indoors away from light.
Three stars (good lightfastness): Can remain stable for 1-3 years outdoors, mostly inorganic mineral pigments with stronger weather resistance.
*She also said the set of pastels has a 4-year shelf life if stored properly (although, with my experience with soft pastels, they can last indefinitely)
