I'm new to metal casting, and i found these books particularly helpful at dispelling some myths and giving me some great ideas. David Gingery's "The Charcoal Foundry", and C. W. Ammen's "Metalcaster's Bible" and "Complete Handbook of Sand Casting" are great resources. It's only 3 books, you can read 3 books. The info contained within is well worth the money.
