For years, I thought becoming a better listener meant becoming better at analyzing equipment.
I don't believe that anymore.
I think great hi-fi begins with one simple question:
"Where is everything?"
That single question completely changed the way I evaluate audio systems. Instead of listening for products, I started listening for people. Instead of chasing gear, I started chasing performances.
In this video, we'll explore how to:
• Stop listening like a reviewer.
• Learn what makes a believable soundstage.
• Understand why some recordings are easier to "see" than others.
• Revisit the philosophy behind my LOTS speaker placement method.
• And most importantly, learn how to experience music in a way that makes your system disappear.
This isn't a speaker placement tutorial.
It's about learning to hear the performance hiding inside your favorite recordings.
