What is up guys, Max here, welcome back to Filmit.io. Today we are demoing our new plugin called Gravity, a real physics engine for After Effects. You drop your layers into a live sandbox, let real gravity and collisions do their thing, and then bake the exact run you watched into clean, editable keyframes. Let me show you how it works.
Get Gravity with a free trial at the link below. It installs through Filmit Studio along with the whole growing plugin suite for Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.
What you'll see:
- Installing Gravity through Filmit Studio and opening it in After Effects (Window, then Extensions)
- The Playground and the built-in scenes (Fill Up, Zero G Billiards, Stairs, Pinball, and more)
- Playing a scene, then Create Comp to build it in After Effects with baked keyframes on every layer
- Building your own run: slingshot objects, make the walls bouncy, toggle zero-g, and add air drag
- Right-clicking static objects to make them dynamic, turn physics off, or slingshot them
- Snapshotting your own comp into Gravity (type your name as individual letters so they bounce separately)
- Slingshotting your layers and using Apply to Comp to bake the physics back into After Effects
