In this experiment, water drips from a hole near the bottom of a cup. When the cup is allowed to fall, the water stops dripping from the hole, because the cup is accelerating as quickly as the water. The experiment was designed by Anderson University student Melodie Nord and performed by Anderson University professor Dr. Scott Carr.
