They finally updated the gravestones so that your items aren't being really dropped on the ground but they are being put in a special interface.
Because of this it's not longer possible to lose your items in a mass graveyard, because items aren't being dropped anymore and it's way easier now to find your gravestone by click on the gravestone timer which will automatically make you run to your grave if you're in the same area.
Even though your items aren't being dropped stuff like barrows gear or comp cape will still break on death, so you still want to try and keep those.
Also if you die 2 times your first grave will disappear and all the items that were in your grave will be dropped and everyone can see them.
So be really careful with dying a second time.
