Today, we are visiting Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, Alabama, to pay our respects at the final resting place of a true football legend: Bart Starr. Drafted out of the University of Alabama in 1956, Starr became one of the most iconic figures in NFL history as the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. Under the legendary coach Vince Lombardi, he led the Packers to five NFL Championships and was named the Most Valuable Player of the very first two Super Bowls. Beyond his incredible stats and his 1977 induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Starr was widely respected for his exceptional character and leadership on and off the field.
