Canvas: 16x20 stretched primed canvas
Brushes: 3/4 inch flat bristle, #6 round synthetic #2 round synthetic
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, mars black, burnt umber (brown), deep yellow, fire red, green oxide.
Other: chalk, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes

STEPS:
1. 3/4 inch bristle brush – Paint 1st layer to background with yellow, green and black
2. 3/4 inch bristle brush – Paint 2nd layer to background with black, red, brown, green, yellow and white
3. Chalk --Draw outline for flower and grasshopper
4. 3/4 inch bristle and #6 round brushes - Paint base coat for flower and grasshopper with black and dark yellow (made in step 2)
5. #6 round brush – Paint stem and 1st step to flowerhead with yellow, green, white, red, brown and black
6. #2 round brush -- Paint dark areas of grasshopper with black, brown and white
7. #6 round bush - Finish flower with back, red, black, brown, dark yellow, white, yellow and green
8. #2 round brush – Finish grasshopper with red, brown, yellow, white, lime (made in step 7), black, and gray (made in step 7)
9. #2 round brush - Paint rain with gray, white, light yellow (made in step 8), lime, and green
10. #2 round brush - Sign with light yellow
