If you never heard of Rumbleverse, I don't really blame you. It was a battle royale, fighting, platformer, action game that had, as far as I know, very little marketing. It was developed by Iron Galaxy and published by Epic Games. It only ran for 6 months before pulling the plug due to a low number of players supporting the game.
During the time when it was live, I was obsessively playing this game. You may have seen me streaming the game as well, all the way up to the very last hour. It was my personal comfort game; my haven to help distract me from all the problems concerning the Bayonetta fanbase around the time when 3 was coming out (the Hellena Taylor incident, if you will).
I originally had plans to make a slew of Rumbleverse combo videos and even a joke video about Pizza Tower x Rumbleverse (which is why you'll see a chef in this video), but obviously with the game being closed, it's not something I'll be able to do. When I heard this game was shutting down, I had to frantically collect whatever clips I had recorded and keep them all stored for future purposes if I ever decide to revisit any sort of Rumbleverse video making, or to just simply watch a game that, at one point, gave me true happiness.
Live service games aren't bad, and Rumbleverse was proof of that. Unfortunately, live service games that aren't popular are met with a short life, and that, quite honestly, sucks. For the time being, Rumbleverse is considered lost media. I don't know if this game will ever return, but man, I'd give up my entire Bayonetta collection just so I can be able to interact in this game one more time.
For those who understand my joy with this game, my pain with the disappearance of this game, I thank you very much. This game and the closure of its service is part of the reason I haven't been making much content for this channel. I hope you all enjoy this, and I hope something like this never happens to you. Games need to LIVE. Physical copies, private servers, whatever the case. We need to keep these games preserved for a reason.
