I had this song on the back burner as something I wanted to edit with and I was hit with a sudden flash of inspiration to make a tribute to all of the old school anime dance GIF AMVs that were around in the late 00's. They are a lot less common these days due to the availability of actual anime clips, but I have a soft spot for them regardless.
I submitted this to the 2026 RICE contest held by Bentovid because I didn't get a "real" video done in time. I was not expecting anywhere near the love I received - apparently I'm not the only one nostalgic for this particular style of video!
I did receieve a ton of comments and suggestions for improvement for this video, and while I'm grateful for all of them and they were amazing, I've not made any changes cause in the end, this is just a silly little GIF video lol.
Though y'all should be thankful I decided to scrap the version I made which had a constant colour changing background.
This was made over a period of 3 days back in January and I downloaded 168 GIFs from tenor using the search term "anime dance" (not all of them made it into the video).
