General Motors invited and paid me to attend their 2-day investor event in Detroit on October 6th and 7th. They were interested in my thoughts on the event and wanted me to document the experience.
This event was unlike any in GM’s history and they made some big announcements about their transition from an “automaker to a platform innovator.” On the first day, I heard from GM executives about their growth strategies. The second day I actually got to test out the new vehicles and technologies myself.
Without a doubt, the highlight for me was being able to ride in the new Hummer EV and test out its WTF mode, where you go from 0-60 in about 3 seconds (check it out in the video).
It was incredible to have such an intimate experience with one of America's most storied companies.
