This was it. This was the hike we planned our entire Sawtooth / Grand Teton / Yellowstone / Glacier trip around. The Granite Park Chalet.
The Chalet is a historical lodge in Glacier National Park. I wish I could tell you more, but that would involve reading and that doesn't sound like fun to me now. I do what I want. Anyway, the lodge is beautiful and we were lucky enough to get a room.
Staying at the chalet has it's perks; You don't have to carry that much compared to a backpacking trip. There are cold drinks for sale. And the sunsets are absolutely amazing, even when the skies are obscured by Oregan wild fires.
But one of the best things about staying at the Granite Park Chalet is the entry hike; the Highline Trail. I'll let the video do the talking on that one.
Oh, and the Chalet offers a shuttle, allowing you to get dropped off at Logan Pass and picked up at The Loop. Both of these are infamous for limited parking. Not to mention you get to experience Going to the Sun Road. I'd have a nice video of that amazing drive, but I had my camera settings wrong so.....Hey, I'm not a professional.
We also hiked up to Grinnell Glacier Overlook and Swiftcurrent Pass. I'd say more about it but I'm in the middle of another edit and I'm gonna lose my flow. We'll say that. Not that I'm lazy and don't want to type anymore.
For sticking around and reading this nonsense to the end, here's a link to my Cascade Canyon video. I didn't get enough footage for a 'normal' video, so I'll leave this link and it'll be our little secret.
