“We had to escalate because you [exercised your rights].” That’s what the Brazoria, Texas Police and Brazoria County Sheriff’s Deputies had to say after arresting a victim who stood up to the police and exercised her rights. The police were EXTRA mad that we were filming and that we “influenced” someone to decline police questioning.
