I thought it would be interesting to compare the movies from the original release of GTA III with the newly released Definitive Edition. Apart from the obvious change of the resolution and aspect ratio from 640x480 4:3 to 1920x1080 16:9, it appears that although they have used the original master sources for the background renders/screenshots rather than AI upscaling them, the redone animations and text layers aren't an exact match of the original shape-wise and the colours are noticeably off in the logo sequence which is really disappointing. To their credit though, it can be appreciated that they have used some of the original sources.
The Vice City and San Andreas versions however have some pretty questionable things going and the comparisons can be seen here:
