The long-awaited Phase IV extension of the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail in downtown New Haven, CT is now open! This linear park now continues past Hillhouse Ave, goes underneath Temple St and Whitney Ave, and surfaces at Grove St. The new routing lengthens the overall rail trail, which continues up to Northampton, MA. Additionally, this segment provides more off-road mileage for the East Coast Greenway between Maine and Florida.
