Today the IKS fights the battle of 'Grand Jena.'
Grand events are showcase events for the IKS where we demonstrate all the cool things we have developed to improve the look, feel, and experience of Kriegsspiel.
Grand Jena is a somewhat non-historical re-fighting of the actual battle. The campaign order of battle was used, as well as the historic battlefield. However, players participated in a campaign of maneuver to reach the battlefield, which resulted in different units appearing. They are also in non-historic start locations, which were determined by the pre-game campaign.
This is important because it forces the players to make their own independent decisions, rather than simply re-fight history.
The system used for the game is "So Cal Advanced."
