Founded in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier, it was at the beginning of the 20th century that the House of Cartier began to open eponymous boutiques around the world.
After its success in Paris, the jeweler moved to London in 1902 and to New York in 1909. A century later, the House established itself in Luxembourg, keen to be present in all the key markets of Europe.
