I want to express yet again regret that I used my platform in any way to lend support for Graham Platner and I'm glad we have sufficient evidence come to light to remove him before the 13th deadline. I don't regret in believing in progressive policies that Platner claimed he stood for. We don't need him. The politician is the messenger and the tool of the people. We aren't here for cults of personality (not that I particularly liked Graham...I liked the threat he posed to Collins), we are here for reform and policy and real change and I'm excited to see Mainers rally and select someone new to elect this year in the Midterms.

I appreciate that other folks felt Graham had too many red flags much earlier. There is a huge difference between a sexting scandal, 15 year-old reddit posts and credibly allegations of SA. If anyone was on the fence before, I hope that SA allegations will be the red line for you and you can let his candidacy go. We don't need him. We need candidates whose actions match their stated values.
These are likely my final thoughts on this channel about Platner. If I have any more to say, it will be on my side channel @ParkroseResistance, where I am trying to keep political convos. But since I made my main vids about Platner before that channel existed, and I have 20x as many followers here, I wanted to issue a take so folks could see it.
It's not possible to put all my thoughts into a 10 min video, but I encourage you to go check out the vids I posted yesterday on this subject and my posts on Blue Sky over the last 24 hours.
I took down two videos about Platner and in support of him but I may put them back up for posterity in time, My critiques of AIPAC and the GOP and DNC all gunning for progressives and funding HUGE smear campaigns against them is entirely valid and I stand by all of it. So...let me know if you think the vids should go back up. I just didn't want someone stumbling on them this week and thinking I still support Platner. I do not.
I regret letting my support for his platform and his potential to topple Collins and his convincing apologies dulling all the red flags and I'm grateful for Jenny coming forward and sharing her story. I'm grateful that we have credible allegations NOW, before it's too late for someone else to run and win against Collins. We can recover from this and the movement will not be derailed by a white dude who has a long and problematic past with women. We owe it to every person targeted by the regime and everyone's rights who are imperiled to rally and unseat the GOP.
