Michelle Allen, A Creative Operation | Graduate Cap Card Box Tutorial @michelleallenacreativeoper6112 | Uploaded April 2024 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
This project came as a request from one of my crafty friends, Heather. She needed a card box and this is what I came up with. I didn’t decorate it, as I wanted to keep it looking like a graduate cap but it can be decorated to your liking. It doesn’t take a lot to make and I think it’s pretty easy to do. If you leave the "mortarboard top" off, and then add another piece of chipboard to the lid, you can adjust this to make a box shape and decorate for any occasion you want!
Chipboard I used is medium weight, black, from Graphic 45 that I had in my stash.
Cardstock and glue are from Country Craft Creations.
I also used Scor Tape and sheet adhesives from my stash.
CUT LIST
Box: See tutorial as I used black chipboard. If you use regular Kraft colored chipboard you’ll need additional black cardstock and a black Sharpie pen to cover, it’s explained in the tutorial.
