Communist historian Doug Enaa Greene lectures on the French communist revolutionary Gracchus Babeuf (1760-1797) at the Center for Marxist Education. Gracchus Babeuf was the first modern communist, who was active during the French Revolution of 1789 and sought to push the revolution beyond its bourgeois limits, in doing so Babeuf developed an innovative forms of political organization and approaches to revolutionary agitation.
