We decided against vinyl flooring in the office and went with indoor/outdoor carpet over padding. We also bought an area rug to help the carpet last longer.

Let me know in the comments if you're interested in watching the trim go up in this room. I'll be doing the base, windows and she's asking for chair rail.... we'll see about the chair rail. I haven't decided if I'm going to make the trim or buy it.
