I needed a break from the cabinet so I spent some quality time screwing around on the lathe tonight.

The first portion of this project got corrupted somehow... so it starts with the hollowing and roughing already done.

I drilled it out on the lathe with a long drill bit in my tailstock chuck. (Thanks to awldune for the question).
