The GPD WIN MAX 3 is a powerful Windows handheld gaming laptop that combines integrated gaming controls, a backlit keyboard and Precision touchpad in one compact device. In this review, we test modern PC games, emulation, system performance, battery life, fan noise and temperatures.
We test Forza Horizon 5, Cyberpunk 2077, Forza Horizon 6 and many more at different TDP levels, along with native 2400×1504 gaming in demanding titles. We also run PCMark 10, Cinebench 2024, Geekbench 6 and 3DMark, then test compatible games with RPCS3, Vita3K, Eden and Xenia.
The 97.53Wh detachable battery and optional fan module offer extra flexibility for travel and higher-performance desktop use, while the 165Hz AMOLED display provides vivid colours, deep blacks and smooth motion.
