The Office of Appeals of the State of Kansas finally reached out to me to set up an appeal for my disqualification of unemployment benefits. How is it legal for a government department to sit on a case for the better part of a year? I present some theories as to why the siege has lasted as long as it has. Is it not likely that Walmart bribed the DoL every month just to starve me out? Ever since being denied unemployment, I have applied for countless jobs in manufacturing, postal services, and even as an attendant for a casino in Oklahoma, and yet it seems like I couldn't find anything except for another retail or fast food job. My family believes that Walmart has been screwing me out of these jobs, and just completely black balling me to where the only job I can find is a miserable public service job, and nothing meaningful or career building. Funny story, I was finally offered a job not long after I was officially hired at my new fast food job, but they decided not to let me know by text to select an interview date until a week after all of the available interview dates had passed. I'm hoping to be able to get out of my fast food job, and perhaps be working for the casino or the postal service by the time Winter is over, and perhaps enroll in trade school at the end of next year's Summer.
