North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper is seeing echoes of 2008 — the last time Democrats won his state in a presidential year.
“I think that everything is coming together to turn North Carolina blue,” Cooper said in an interview with POLITICO on Monday. “A lot of excitement. I haven't felt this much excitement since 2008.”
