10 Tampa Bay | Gov. DeSantis extends toll suspension across Florida @10TampaBay | Uploaded October 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
The toll suspension in place across Florida for Hurricane Milton has been extended.
Gov. Ron DeSantis first suspended tolls on Oct. 7 to help Floridians "quickly and safely evacuate" ahead of the then-Category 5 storm. While these suspensions typically last a week, the order was extended on Monday, Oct. 14.
That means people driving on highways in West and Central Florida will not have to pay tolls until they are reinstated by the governor.
