5min prep, 15min total
• 180g ish of a nice steak (scotch fillet ideally)
• 1 packet of udon noodles
• 2tbspn Kewpie sesame dressing
• 1 spring onion (white and light green bits only)
• 1 tsp soy sauce
• Neutral oil
• 1 lemon
• 1 tbspn miso paste
• 50g butter
Directions
• Prepare the sesame dressing by combining the sliced spring onions, kewpie dressing, ¼ lemon of lemon juice, 1 tbpsn of neutral oil, salt and pepper in a cup and stir, then set aside.
• Fry the steak on very high heat in a pan so it’s rare/medium rare (ideally) and 30seconds before you remove it from the pan, add the butter and turn off the heat. Then when the pan has a cooled a bit, add the miso paste and stir in with the rest of the juice from the lemon.
• Add the udon noodles to hot water according to the directions on the packet, then strain and place in the miso butter in the pan.
• Add the noddles to a bowl, place the steak sliced thinly on top and garnish with the sesame dressing.
