Work continues on refurbishing a Gottlieb Haunted House pinball machine. I'm working my way from the bottom to the top. I cover all the work I'm doing as I slowly get this game in working order.

In this video I go over all the standard recommended ground mods for Gottlieb System 80 games. These mods are recommended by service bulletins and general community experience. The ground plane of the game is carried over edge connectors, which have proven to be unreliable over time, so the ground mods involve adding additional 18 gauge wires from ground points on various boards and tying them together both to the upper ground plane, and the lower ground plane. This insures all the ground lines for all the areas of the game (EXCEPT the high power solenoid circuit) are tied together to make things run reliably. You don't want to tie the high power ground to the rest in case a coil shorts, which could send high voltage to more sensitive areas.
