I bought one of those $10 mini capture cards thats made the rounds some months ago (they look like USB flash drives), and its... decent? ?? Only downside is it records in mono, and only up to 720p if you need 60fps footages. I had trouble getting 60fps to not stutter all the way, so naturally I had to fall back down to 30fps for this.
This is the first time Ive ever owned a capture card of any sort, and honestly its an okay purchase if youre on a tight budget and need something you can record your console gaming sessions with. If your budget is way more tho? I would say avoid, and just invest in an Elgato or something.
Theres nothing special about this FC, i just needed a reason to record a test video with the capture card. :p")

This is probably my first real Rock Band custom work. Well okay I still needed help with venue authoring but STILL... this is my first Rock Band custom, completely and legitly done in REAPER, none of that EoF or FeedBack editor bullcrap. It was a cool experience authoring inside a DAW, I learned a bunch of new things along the way, and it was once again fun to meddle with the songs stems and master them for the game. Im sure some of you have been with me long enough and seen my past (crappier) work with these customs stuff. :p
Ive worked on this for like, 6 or so months I guess, if you count all the days that I put this off and procrastinated. I started around the time I was in my final semester of college, so... go figure. It probably shouldnt have taken this long, but I was also figuring out plenty of stuff out while making this, like the fact that you can finally autoplay songs in Wii RB3 on Dolphin using a certain Gecko code. Cool beans.
Shoutout to my metal musician friend for sacrificing his precious time painfully rendering all those individual stems for this! I told him I wanted to promote his music on my channel somehow, and this is how I planned to do it. And I did it.

So yeah... I told myself that Guitar Pro 5 couldnt possibly be used to replicate electronic music. Well guess what? I was wrong... I was DEAD wrong. The irony? The programs called GUITAR pro... and I just used it to transcribe an electronic music, lawl. I guess its kind of a MIDI sequencer in disguise? :U

As a result, this chart features separate instrument tracks for vocals, guitar, bass and drums, to add a more Rock Band-authentic feel to it. Youll find that the mixing here sounds a little bit different than the original, which is a pretty normal thing for Rock Band. ;P
A couple of notes:
- ONLY Expert charts for now.
- Vocal chart is pitchless atm, and probably wont be playable in the actual Rock Band game (Ill try to work on this)
- ...thats it.
This is pretty much my first time doing something like this. I usually just pick up a song and chart only guitar and drums, but since Tomb was sex err, I mean, kind enough to provide me with the stems, I thought it deserves more. So yeah, have at it, folks! Now I wanna see someone FCing this on drums... ;p

Ive grinded an unhealthy amount of times on this song. a lot of the harder rolling sections that i perfectly hit on this clip are just out of pure luck and nothing more. you dont know how upsetting it is whenever i successfully hit a difficult part and then screw up the rest of the song 10 seconds later. like, holy hell.
Anyway, Id been wanting to do this song on keyboard drums for a while now, and this seems like a perfectly good excuse to try using OBS in this way (since Ive never done it like this before). It really saves me from having to reset both recorders separately every time I mess up. Excuse the poor quality hands cam footage, my 2nd-gen Nexus 7 tablet is the best camera i have at the moment x.x
Ill try to set the footage up more neatly next time i do a video like this. I just got reeeeaaally impatient with not being able to stay consistent on this.
