Live highlight: I got rained on at a charity sporting clay shoot, ate some BBQ, and ended up with wet feet. Fortunately, I keep a poncho and good rain gear in my truck.
It’s the little things that make a big difference when the weather turns bad:
• A cheap disposable poncho can keep you dry and prevent hypothermia (even in 60–70° weather, wet clothes pull heat away fast)
• Extra socks, quick-dry layers, and a basic rain shell in your vehicle
• Always have a weather contingency plan for trips and outings
Don’t let small oversights turn a minor inconvenience into a miserable (or dangerous) situation.
