Trekking to see the magnificent gorillas in Uganda has to be in my top 10 travel experiences for sure. We trekked through the jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest for hours, eventually finding a family of gorillas, including babies and an enormous silver back! It felt safe and inviting, even though we were so close to them, watching as they chewed on leaves and the babies played. Having the opportunity to see these majestic creatures up close is something that I will remember for a very long time.
I was also the only guest in the resort I stayed at, as well as the only passenger on my flight out of Uganda! Africa is a crazy place sometimes! Click the blog post in the link below for directions on how you can recreate this experience.
