Using Gorilla Sealant is easy, but here are a couple tips to ensure your project lasts.
First, be sure all surfaces are clean and free of dirt, grease, oil, and old sealant.
Next, for the 2.8-ounce tube, unscrew the cap, fold, and screw-on the removable nozzle. Then, cut the nozzle to the desired bead size. If you’re using the cartridge, puncture the foil seal, then cut the nozzle at a 45-degree angle at the desired bead size.
Next, apply the sealant by pushing bead ahead of nozzle. For gaps larger than ½ inch, use a backer rod.
Then, immediately tool or smooth the bead after application, before a skin forms. This ensures maximum adhesion and provides a clean finished project. In 24 hours, you’ll have a fully cured seal.
If clean-up is necessary, wipe wet sealant off the surfaces immediately with a dry cloth.
Afterwards, store Gorilla Sealant in a cool, dry location with the nozzle attached. To re-use the product, remove the nozzle and clean out any cured sealant from the tip.
