MESSE produces a punchy, groovy and stoner sound. They combine their visceral riffs and rhythms with the French language and present a high energy show where you can jump, scream, sweat and feel young and alive.
“J’mettrai le feu” is an EP of 5 songs, an ambitious project with very “in your face” sounds. It’s a big collage of influences where we find ourselves as much in the era of fringes and bell bottoms as that of flannels and caped boots.

On ”From The Source”, Causa Sui’s first new studio album in four years, the band has created some of their most ambitious music ever – simultaneously travelling through the sonic landscapes that has come to define the group’s sound and pushing towards new horizons.
With the four bandmember’s ties to jazz, experimental and ambient music, Causa Sui is something of an anomaly in the ever-growing European psychedelic rock scene. Always following their own path. Never before has the group’s wide ranging influences been more meticulously weaved together as on ”From The Source”, from groovy Zamrock and electric jazz to floating post-rock, Sabbath riffage and hypnotic kosmische.
The album was recorded during months of sessions in their own studio, refining each part gradually through intense explorations, yet keeping room for improvisation and favouring “magic” takes over clinical perfection. The temperament of the music spans white-iron hot & sub-zero chilled with every ebb and flow in between. Dynamic range has always been central to Causa Sui but on this set the band explores it to a new degree – every track twists and turns, seamlessly leading the listener down unpredictable paths.
The pinnacle of the album, and arguably of the band’s singular ethos in general, is the sidelong odyssey, ”Visions of a New Horizon” – a 24 minute suite in seven parts. An appropriate closing monument on the album that marks the 20th anniversary of the band this year.

Orotoro was born in 2016 and is the brainchild of Lew Tyler. The band is forever evolving as each recording involves a different set of musicians. This is the third album. Recorded and written considerably faster than album 2 as I wanted to try a less produced approach. This is basically a solo album. I jammed in the studio over last winter, recording riffs and drum beats, eventually writing lyrics and recording the vocals in the begininng of the summer. I dont think ill do this again as i kind of missed the input of other musicians, and boucing ideas off eachother. Anyway....heres album 3: Ikigai

bunsenburner, the genre-defying collective known for their experimental and improvisational prowess, is set to release their much-anticipated EP, Squall, on May 3rd, 2024. The release, available through bensnburner records, marks a significant milestone in the bands journey, capturing the essence of their sound in a condensed, powerful form.
Squall emerges as a rich tapestry of stoner rock, sludge metal, and doom metal, showcasing bunsenburners ability to traverse musical landscapes with a newfound precision and focus. Unlike their previous works, this EP distills the bands expansive sonic palette into a more concentrated expression of their artistic vision, revealing the depth and breadth of their musical explorations.
The EP was recorded in an intense, single-day session, a deliberate choice that kept the band laser-focused on the musical direction of bensnburners frontman, Ben Krahl. This concentrated effort was not without its challenges; a neighbors vehement protests against the noise became an unexpected part of the days narrative, inadvertently inspiring the EPs title, Squall.
Despite these interruptions, the band persevered, their commitment unwavering, driven by a collective ambition to encapsulate their dynamic sound within the constraints of a single days recording. This experience not only tested but ultimately strengthened the unity and resolve of the band, serving as a testament to their artistic integrity and dedication.
In alignment with their goal to connect more deeply with their audience and the live music scene, bunsenburner views Squall as a catalyst for an extensive tour, aiming to bring their electrifying performances to stages across the globe. Furthermore, in a move that underscores their innovative spirit, the band has made the entire EP available as a video of the recording session, offering fans a raw, unfiltered glimpse into the creation of Squall.

Walls Of Light is the third studio album of the instrumental psychedelic doom band Below A Silent Sky. It is raw, intense and complex with a bittersweet tone.
Walls of Light is an organic and complex sounding album. It was recorded live in the studio and is mastered by James Plotkin. The sound is raw, gritty and massive without sinking into an ocean of fuzz through massive overdubs or samples.
The bittersweet tone of the purely instrumental music is also picked up in the album title:
Walls stands for the massive, raw and big, it is uncomfortable and disturbing.
Light, on the other hand, gives something hopeful, warm and harmonious.
This concept lives deep in the riffs, arrangements and melodies of the four songs. The compositions are varied and narrative. There are no classical structures, but each piece evolves permanently. Disturbing monotony, dissonance and destruction riffs dissolve into psychedelic sounds, complex harmonies and melodies with a Western attitude. It resembles a soundtrack to which you no longer need a film.
