Rust, Rot, Ruin, Rubble and Ramshackle are the hallmarks of Gordon Hutchings' photographic expression. With no agenda except to "follow his nose," Gordon allows himself the artistic freedom of self expression, and he doesn't expect YOU to pay for it. p Your photography as an expression of your personality or your art is your business. However you want to present this to the world should be up to you as the artist, but don't expect to get rich off your art, and don't expect society to foot the bill for what you have to say. p If you want to photograph odd subjects, or to get attention with your photography, it's okay to do that, just don't expect Society to pay for it, or to hang it on the wall. p A true artist is going to make his art no matter what, and if history is any gauge, the artist can expect to sacrifice to the point of starvation in the process.
