Curious to find out how the new GoPro Mission 1 Pro's underwater footage compares to the DJI Osmo Action 6 and the Insta360 Ace Pro 2?
I took the GoPro Mission 1 Pro, the DJI Osmo Action 6 and the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 on a couple of dives, placing them side by side and recording the exact same footage simultaneously. In today's video I share the results of this comparison with you.
Keep in mind that all the shots have been taken while diving in Madeira Island (Atlantic Ocean) so don't expect any colourful reef shots or very vibrant colors.
All of the shots have been taken in between 5m to 25 meters of depth.
And these were the camera settings I used on each of the action cameras:
GoPro Mission 1 Pro:
4K / 60fps / 10 bit / Underwater mode turned on / Bit rate: Max / Color: Natural / Sharpness: Medium / Denoise: Medium / EV Comp: -0.5 / FOV: Wide / AUTO WB
DJI Osmo Action 6:
4K / 60fps / 10 bit / Underwater mode turned on / Bit rate: High / Color: Normal / Sharpness: -1 / Noise reduction: -1 / EV Comp: -0.3 / FOV: Wide / AUTO WB
Insta360 Ace Pro 2:
4K / 60fps / 8 bit / Underwater mode turned on / Bit rate: High / Color: Standard / Sharpness: Medium / EV Comp: -0.3 / FOV: Wide / AUTO WB
All footage is taken straight from the cameras with absolutely not corrections made in post at all.
