Zach Miller is the brains behind Portrait, the brand fusing skate, surf, + street culture into premium surfboards, skateboards, clothing + visual art. Miller looks at things with a different perspective than most, wondering how he can takes things he thinks are cool + turn them into something he wants to ride. His background in graphic design, art, skateboarding, + surfing are what has helped him make Portrait a reality.
From the moment Zach rode a twin fin, he knew it was the type of board for him + had found the feeling he had been looking for on a surfboard. Because of that ride, he discovered different fin templates, learned that tiny measurements make a big difference, + marking fins in the perfect place for every board is important. FCS boxes have been instrumental in his creations, knowing he can use them to keep old fins to use in new boxes when necessary; also allowing him to swap between bigger + smaller templates based on what kind of hold he or his riders are looking for that day.
